I would ski doo all night and then be first on on the expert double Diamond run laying tracks on the lift and runs.
The expert double/triple Diamond run was groomed to a ‘T’…
perfectly shaped moguls exactly where JOHN wanted them.
AND OMG AS I’M GOING UP THE LIFT NEXT TO IT… HE WOULD START HIS DESCENTS AT THE TOP AND HIT EVERY PEAK OF THOSE MOGULS TOP TO BOTTOM WITHOUT BREAKING A SWEAT NOR STOPPING !!!
I COULD NEVER REPLICATE AND MATCH THOSE FEETS…. NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRIED…. DAY IN DAY OUT…. HOT SPRING DAYS LIKE A HOTDOG OR BUTT FREEZONG COLD IN MINUS 40 WEATHER.
DAMN NOT ONLY ONCE…. BUT ALL THE TIME… BLEW ME AWAY AND IT STICKS TO ME AS THE APEX OF PERFECTION !
NO ONE SINCE THOSE DAYS HAVE COME CLOSE TO SKIING PEAK TO PEAK TOP TO BOTTOM ON AN EXPERT DIAMOND RUN !
I’LL BET HE’S ONLY ABOUT A DECADE OLDER THAN ME BY NOW… BUT HE’S GOT WHAT IT TAKES !
