In other words, know what principle applies that makes it tick. How do I know for sure?

Because it works right across the board on virtually everything I’ve encountered so far. CONSISTENT REPETITION of the principles at work.

GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE. DON’T BE BOXED INTO STANDARD LABELS OF WHAT SHOULD AND SHOULDN’T WORK JUST BECAUSE THE ACCEPTED THEORIES FIT THE TIMES.
