If clemency does correct a grave injustice, then at the very least, the state of Louisiana will assist in providing all the help Taurus Buchanan is not only entitled to, but to insure his re-integration in society after all these years is a success story.
Ditto for other similar cases elsewhere. Dumping someone who has been incarcerated for so long with no lifeline and coping skills to fend for themselves is a repetition of the same mistake made not only once, but compounded a second time because an admission is tantamount to guilt and justice not having served it’s obligations of LAW & ORDER.
I WOULD TRY TO UNDERSTAND MORE ABOUT WHAT GOES ON IN THE SOUTHERN TIER STATES WHERE DRUGS/CHEMICALS MIGHT HAVE PLAYED A LARGER ROLE THAN ADMITTED AND REALIZED.
