You cannot have never ending PUBLIC FUNDING TRANSIT INCREASES in the hope to just break even on the budget bottom lines. Public Transit ridership loyalty depends entirely on economic models where low income, fixed income and those of moral choices choose to participate and make a difference for everyone on public transportation corridors while at the same time wanting to make a difference where the environment is concerned.
On the subject of HOV TOLL ROADS – BE CAREFUL HOW THIS IS IMPLEMENTED. THE FEW 1 PERCENT WHO CAN AFFORD TO PAY FOR 1 PERSON PER VEHICLE WILL BE THE ONES TO PROFIT ON A COST FRONT. I’M WILLING TO TAKE A BET THAT COMMERCIAL BUSINESS WILLING TO LOSE LESS TIME TIED UP IN TRAFFIC WILL BE THE FIRST TO JUMP ON BOARD.
A FEW AND NOT MANY WILL BE PEOPLE WHO LIVE AND COMMUTE IN CITIES AND SUBURBS JUST GOING IN TO WORK OR RUN ERRANDS.
PRESENTLY I DON’T SEE THIS AS A WIN-WIN.
RETHINK THE HOV TOLL ROADS.
