I propose instead of erasing history to put MARKERS UP IN THE SAME PLACE AS WHERE TENSIONS OF DISCRIMINATION ARE OBVIOUS.
That way, people can see for themselves the FACES & NAMES of those who in the past created and supported all the wrong things about RIGHTS & FREEDOMS.
If people cannot make connections between past events, place, people – ideas once LEGAL, but now NOT, THEY WILL NEVER LEARN.
MAKE THE MARKERS OF YOUR CHOICES MORE THAN JUST SYMBOLIC.
MAKE THEM LAST SO THAT NEVER AGAIN, PEOPLE EVERYWHERE WILL KNOW WHERE TO LOOK, LEARN AND BECOME MORE THAN WHAT A LEGAL LABEL DESIGNATES YOU AS.
DIFFERENT INSTEAD OF SELF-EVIDENT RIGHTS EQUAL TO ALL OTHERS.
