Mention made in the News Report of abandoned boats, some of which are made of fiberglass construction. While some boats may/may not have this issue if made of wood… their contents are an entirely different story.

Primarily the issue stems from the many boats still in the water that need the attention of governing bodies to have them removed due to their fiberglasss epoxy resin construction.

Reaction to UV rays and the breakup of their materials exposing fiberglass strands and thru time dispersing them into the marine environments and ultimately into the food chain.

There maybe more consideration given to ionic reactions to the fiberglass construction of the boats themselves in seawater.

Bad enough that many homeowners are still in need due to the destruction of their homes and in many cases still not addressed.

This issue has been bumped up on the 2 DO LIST needing attention.
