Good, keep private enterprise out of the correctional systems. Companies are in it for the money, and forced labour doesn’t jive with Constitutional Rights. Even in prison – POW for example.

Keep inmates on good programs meant to re-integrate, but for state, provincial and federal endeavours. That way, politicians are accountable for anything not remotely linked to human rights abuses.

An inmate is there for pertinence(original concept) – corrective behaviour based on self moral realization. NOT FORCED to do what they are not ready and willing to do. In that case… time served and accountable by courts and judges.
