…”“I know this almost sounds a little arrogant, but we have definitely been there and done that,” Colin Hartigan, director of the local realtors association, says. “When we had a decline in 2008-2009, after a bit of a breather the community hit the rest button and got going again.”…
Care to rephrase that ?
My suggestion is take it as a sign of a much deserved breather.
Now is a good time to plan ahead and knock some sense into the airspaces of heads where brains normally occupy real estate.
Make adjustments for affordable and realistic ‘normal’ prices in rent, housing costs and food – IF & WHEN THE PRICE OF OIL GOES BACK UP.
GOUCHING PEOPLE WHEN THEY’RE SIMPLY LOOKING FOR GOOD JOBS AND PLACES TO LIVE WHEN COMING IN FROM ALL OVER THE PLACE, DOES NOT ENDEAR ME TO YOU. THE CALGARY FACTOR HAS SET IN… COURTESY OF THE DROP-IN CENTER AND FRANKLIN AVENUE.
LET ME PUT IT THIS WAY, FIX IT BEFORE I STEP WITH A FOOT ON THE GROUND AT SOME POINT SOON ENOUGH.
I WANNA SEE WHAT THE FUSS IS ALL ABOUT WITH THE OIL SANDS !
CRITICAL QUESTION ???
OTHERWISE DOWNWARD PRICES ARE GONNA BE THE BITCH YOU’LL WANT A DIVORCE FROM REAL QUICK.
