Good, great, better, best. BUT THE BOTTLE NECK IS THE O/S OSI TCP/IP STACK.

HERE’S THE PROBLEM… IN A NUTSHELL O/S UPGRADES.

I GET SQUEEZED INTO A DOWNLOAD BOTTLE NECK OF 1 kbit PER SECOND due to Torrent downloads.

That bottle neck should not happen at all, but it does. I might also add that usually that only happens to torrents and the restriction is lifted altogether on torrents after midnight.

During the day, technically I should be getting full throughput. But I’m NOT on a Windows 7 Pro Dell Laptop with 8 GB RAM on either a WIRED N or WIRELESS N NETWORK.

HOWEVER, GET A HOLD OF THIS…

I SWITCH TO LIVE FEDORA LINUX 21 O/S AND BINGO….

I GET FULL SPEED AHEAD ON THE THROUGHPUT !!!

THAT IS… UNTIL I UPGRADED THE LIVE O/S ON THE USB STICK AND BACK TO THE SNAIL’S PACE OF 1 KBIT /SECOND.

SO… THE MORAL IS… DON’T UPGRADE O/S OR CHANGE THE O/S AND MASQUERADE ALL YOUR NET IP INFO UP YOUR YIN/YANG.

AND OH YES… SLICKS… IT’S NOT NICE TO FOOL AROUND WITH OTHER PEOPLE’S COMPUTERS WITHOUT PERMISSION AND LEGAL REASON TO INVADE THEIR PRIVACY WITHOUT LEGAL CAUSE.

AH… YES… WHERE’S THAT DASTARDLY PIECE OF PI CONSTITUTION PAPER AGAIN ???
