Why Garry Kasparov won’t be going to Russia anytime soon – The Globe and Mail

Why Garry Kasparov won’t be going to Russia anytime soon – The Globe and Mail.

With the due respect entitled to Mr Kasparov, I would qualify his opinions as extremely important.

I have followed his rise through the years from earshot sidelines as well as with Mr. Bobby Fischer.

What I’ll add here, is that Russia is still in the process of undergoing a huge transitional event that will in the end transform it into a responsible player.

In the meantime, it is up to people and individuals to do what they can to upgrade social living conditions from poor to barely acceptable to that which they are entitled to with all the rights and freedoms enjoyed by so many people around the world.

It’s not a straight line, not pretty at the best of times and certainly not easy. Many countries have gone through the process and have survived it, but the details are the most challenging of all chess plays and strategies.

Russia has undergone relatively quick change in since Mikhail Gorbachev. All good in my personal opinion. But… it is still in it’s infancy trying to find it’s running legs. Once the air clears, a strong voice will emerge.

Time will be the determinate factor. People the agents. Change for this country is unavoidable – TOTALLY.

As for North Korea, I will make that argument later.

In the meantime China has the responsibility to step up and point better options.

Clearly… all nation states with slaves and entire populations imprisoned has all but disappeared. If a secure future is to be gained for Asia, this is where East meets West will be decided.
