Ottawa Sun – We’re talking more openly about mental illness but cutting the treatment program

We’re talking more openly about mental illness but cutting the treatment program.

Okay talk people and see if it helps anyone. Talk is cheap, at least when everyone is talking about helping people with words for 5 minutes whether rich or poor in dire need of help.

The problem is when the talking stops as far as I’m concerned. Behind closed doors, dark alleys, basement dead ends, I’m of the opinion that the 5 minutes window dressing is worth as much by the pound as lard is to people in 100 degree weather. Okay let’s call it by it’s real term, B.S.

Why, cause it didn’t help a man called Robin who by everyone’s standards had everything, nor Micheal Jackson, nor Elvis Presley, nor…. shall I continue ???

Talk didn’t work then, won’t work anymore magic now.

Problem is with a system that infects people with ideas of keeping it together under the toughest stress tests of daily life all while pretending to grin and bear it with a smile. It’s really the system that’s fucked up and expecting people to step up to the plate kicking and screaming dragging them into the SOCIAL ENGINEERED VENEER NET of THIS IS WHAT IT IS, AND IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT – TOUGH, TOO BAD, GOOD LUCK !

The few visible prominent famous faces that have checked out in terms of ‘talking’ lasts as long as their achievements. After that, motor on. Cycle repeats with no clear answers and solutions.

If people don’t get it that the system is fucked up and all they do is continuously ingest drugs to cope with depression and worst don’t listen to their own inner voices of reason, then it’s open season on the fashion floor of the mentally challenged walk to suicide. Armani, Gap, Gucci et al. have stiff competition when the time comes to brand their wears compared to all the chit chat of the latest causality of the day.

What’s really interesting will be to see how the ‘TALK’ the ‘WALK’ will be all about. Can’t wait to measure how those feelings of discomfort in those trying to come to terms with writing Robin off so easily on a word level and squaring up it in their own minds on what it’s all about.
