Yes very true !  Just like everyone else, using one’s own brain prior to doing something stupid is usually a great idea.

BUT…. LET ME ADD A CAVEAT HERE !

Police officers are human just like the rest of us, right.  All they have is good traing to handle all typical types of situations they are most likely to encounter during their careers.   Many scenarios and situations are not on the TO DO LIST, simply because it would be next to impossible to train each and every police officer as SUPER ROBOCOPS.  It also boils down to money and budgets.  For a clue on that, calculate how much it costs to train highly specialized soldiers in many skillsets.  Now compare that over the lifespan of a police officer’s career.

But that was just a sidenote to the point I was trying to make.

Here it is…

What if an or more police officers are exposed to some hidden chemicals in the environment prior to answering a serious potentially life and death situation???  They are just as much a risk to themselves as the public they serve.  It’s really a bitch of a problem now, more than ever.

You would almost have to have police answer each and ever call in fireman protective suits to rule out environmental chemicals as impactors on each and every decision that an officer is subjected to during the course of their shifts.  Let’s not talk about personal time and rule that the ROMULIIAN neutral zone.

TYPICALLY PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY DICTATES THAT ANY 2 SIMILIAR CHARGES REPEL EACH OTHER.  IN CASES OF HIGH TENSION SITUATIONS, THOSE CHARGES OF REPULSION BECOME EXPLOSIVE.  TOO MANY EXAMPLES OUT THERE TO DISCOUNT IONIZATION IN A MYRIAD JUNGLE OF SITUATIONS.

Let me point out here that officers aren’t to blame.  Environmental chemicals are extremely subtle below everyone’s conscious radars.  We have learnt overtime to discount these signals in favour of other ones currently in use.  Example is…. PERFUMES.   Sense of smells becomes artificially excited in favor of SEX SELLS MESSAGE OF CONSUMERISM !

That’s only just 1 small example.  Do you want more is my question?
