Not to put a fine point on the need for sel evaluation, but in many ways… memories of the Senate comes to mind… top down.
Questioning is good, but if the need for resolution on getting on with the business of government, then this is as good as it gets in the year of the Horse. Otherwise the risk is real of getting thrown off tge bucking horse and being trampled by the wagon that follows.
Face it head on ir deal with the public fallout.
