Damn, another theory bites the dust. Obviously, I can’t wait to see how the information is gathered by researchers over the long term. Methods, studies, yadda, yadda, yadda on the statistical data gathering side.

Then the conclusions and recommendations, since we’re far from any definite mindsets on standards.

No real studies on the gay side in the ’80’s, and only impressive research into AIDS/HIV issues, while at the same time shaming gays who were in closets everywhere. More like bullying.

Give or take 20 to 30 years later, a light turns on and shines bright. Ah-A… gay men and women are people. Surprise surprise.

Problem with porn as I see it, revolves not around orientation, but the very nature of it’s intended audience. People have different kinks all depending on their upbringing and journeys. A lot of it involving sometimes painful events and leading to self de-constructive sexual goals that has impacts not only on themselves, but society at large.

Contained and controlled within acceptable range boundaries, kinks are a normal part of the human experience and it’s expression is a DIRECT RESULT of FOOD, AIR, WATER & ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMICALS playing havoc on the 5 SENSES and body as a result.

To label addicts, in any area of life is a mis-application of all the known subtle facts impinging on individuals. The whole contributes to the addiction as a mechanism of relief. Usually an escape moment in various forms.

With porn, the obvious dangers is that lack of self control with the imagination results in rules of engagement that society is totally unwilling to admit or allow based on not only CATHOLIC VALUES(WESTERN WORLD) but also on social trends such as monogamy and marriage. That so many divorces are occurring today is a living breathing testament to the failure of the institution of marriage that is in the process of evolution.

It is no surprise that if someone were to chart data on the gay population, there would be a significant spike in numbers since the introduction of the pill.

I’ll go further saying that once a female version of Viagra is introduced, you’ll see a spike in female incarceration rates. Something like too much of a good thing like testosterone and steroids.

So, what to do with XXX porn??? I say segregate it on the NET into it’s own exclusive domain away from minors as a first step. Everyone that accesses it should register. It’s not anymore shameful than coming out. Good kink is great to watch. Bad kink isn’t ! What’s the difference???

Absue, violence, rape, death… yadda, yadda, yadda. We’ve already defined it in the real world. The mind isn’t that different. What takes place there is an imagination that is trying to get excited in a way that is either not possible at the time of viewing or in actual physical practice because of lack of a willing consensual partner that is willing to explore in safe, respectful ways all things human and sexual.

xxx porn has a place. Like prostitution and drugs. I didn’t say I like it ! But the worm is out of the can, and Pandora’s box is wide open. Denial will not improve things at all. Not with what I’ve seen to date in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary. And in my opinion, these are all timid examples of much bigger cities’ shadows. It took a damn long time to wake up and see the world for what it is. Expression of EVERYTHING wears more than a rainbow flag. For the time being, there is no need for a kink flag, but I’ll bet ya that on the horizon once someone decides to fly it.

I’ll be watching with interest on where this goes and chuckle along the way for sure. For surely, if someone takes the time to know themselves well enough, everything is possible in a sane, safe and respectful way that dignifies the human spirit in it’s expression of the image of the Universe.

When the time and work involved is too much effort to put into oneself’s knowledge of the meaning of life, then as the NEWS story of the day usually report, death results.
