Okay for once I’ll be fair to politicians – JUST THIS ONCE THOUGH.

The problem the way I see it from my optical point of view is this. Government employees seem to have a culture of entitlement regardless of any misbehaviour on their parts during their call of duty at work.

Put them in long enough and it seems as though the years served is an automatic EVERYTHING AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW regardless of something that has terribly gone wrong.

Hey, I just experienced it at work with a self proclaimed fanatical chain smoker who runs the construction site and dictates to his bosses the way things are going to go down. Guess what – I got D.N.R. to that worksite. No big deal for me, but his a damn liability to a commercial construction mega company and that bill will need to be paid one day.

City just needs to figure out how to pay this bill, fix the problem of entitlement based on conduct, not years and get on with the show of doing what it’s suppose to do. Not pretty, but learn the lesson and have sticky notes posted on employee foreheads if required on what’s not acceptable.

For the record, the issue has cropped up in Calgary. But if wisdom is on any use here, I’m sure this movie is being played in all City theatres across the world. Got to start somewhere.
