Not all fuel and their exhaust gases are created equal.
I’ve noticed a very specific difference in exhaust fumes between Ottawa, Montreal and Calgary.
In fact, I believe that fuel and their exhaust fumes in Calgary are intentionally engineered to obtain specific results.
Chemicals are added to obtain very specific reactionary responses in people.
It would be logical to assume a similar effect on animals (cats & dogs) and insects. Trees would also be impacted into this category also.
