At the time of Buddha’s teachings, the exclusion of self from the mundane everyday business of the Dance of Life was possible if truly wanted without external influence. This is clearly demonstrated by the fact that monks and ascetics would reside high in the mountains and in seclusion to pursue meditation. Today in the 21st century, it’s next to impossible to avoid an airplane flying high above Mount Everest or elsewhere. That includes pollution on all high peaks. One ship, one world inter-connected.

Been there, done that to many times now… yikes, repeat, repeat and repeat once again.
