If there’s a sure fire way of killing economic activity, it’s through ever increasing retail taxes.

The idea that increasing them while reducing personal income taxes is sheer stupidity.

Increasing taxes leads people and businesses go to underground transactions that requires more policing interventions.  And it leads others to buy elsewhere than locally.

Bird brains with no critical thinking abilities.  Wake up !

And I’ll add this final piece of critical thinking.

People tend to go the cheapest route possible. So you end up with backyard DIY’ers who withhold spending and try workarounds to get the same results. That only further slows down local economic output as people are not out and about shopping. They’re busy making things work without the spending.
