Self congratulaory salutes can always wait for people and organizations once the dust has settled and some semblance of normalcy if that is what it can be called in emergency crisis situations while still in progress.
Yes it is deserved, but it detracts from the need to communicate with the public on the situation to reduce and help the public cope with insanity gone wild !
