While I don’t support guns, I totally sympathize with those who feel as if a violation of their rights have been violated with respect to following evacuation orders and the trust placed in law enforcement regarding invasion of privacy issues.
It’s one thing to claim seizures were carried out in the name of public safety.
It’s an entirely different thing that happened here in my vuew. If law enforcement felt a true need to search and seize without warrants, then let the case be made. Otherwise my suggestion is to clearly state the unspoken message of the WHY intent behind the motive.
Tgere’s a deeper story here – dig if explanations aren’t forthcoming in due order.
People are entitled to an explanation from those they believe are charged with their public security.
That trust is definitely breeched.
