Hmmm, maybe it would be about time to consider moving up to a new membership card.

I still have mine from way back in the mid 80’s when I bought my first MEC backpack/hiking combo. Absolutely love the bag – yep still got it and use the hiking portion daily on my way to work everyday. Tough stuff. Didn’t even know till I met my ex-wife that I later realized that it was made in Korea. Imagine my surprise in 2006.

And I’ve used it for just about EVERYTHING. It’s original purpose was to backpack and travel the world – exploring, discovering and putting the pieces together. And yes, that definitely included Calgary in the picture – mountains and skiing – OMG I just can’t wait for winter now. Sigh…..

And yes, I’m overdue for a new backpack combo thing again. Time is approaching to retire that bag and archive it for posterity – holds many memories of a road well traveled and destination finally found. Full circle back to Calgary.
