IBM makes major cuts at Ottawa offices

While this phenomena isn’t new, it’s the new reality in the 21st century.

The era of the RESUME is D.O.A. in my opinion.

What this suggests is the following.

If and as luck would have it, you manage to land yourself a job – NOT A CAREER any more, learn and learn quickly from it.

All aspects and as much as you can from your new assignment.

Then in parallel, start developing your own ideas and business concepts for the day you are called into your manager’s office and given the pink slip.

You’ll be much better armed to start off with the incubating and seminal idea to create a great business model out of your experiences.

You’ll at least have a much better chance at regaining some sense of an upward career path that will not only be worthwhile to alot of people, but will inspire you with passion and motivation to go out into the world and change it in positive ways.

I’m just using this piece of news about IBM as the center of the Tech Dot. But this covers the whole spectrum of how things are changing EVERYWHERE and in EVERYTHING.
