Legal maybe, moral ah – that’s the question.
Perhaps then it should be said of my opinion on such matters that I believe the UNITED STATES plays second fiddle to what the UNITED KINGDOM has always done throughout history. Much of it, it’s own history. Just the form factor has changed.
The US has learned from it’s Masters and has played hard to catch up.

Yes security, NO to privacy breaches when it crosses the line of the REASONABLE LOGICAL KNOWLEDGE of when to stop once no threat has been determined.
Continual intrusion in the lives of so many people is immoral/unethical.
There are so many SPY FORM FACTORS out there that this is the one that should be put back into a check and balance system only if to give people back the sense that governments are doing the right thing.
Otherwise people will get a lot more creative and circumvent the present system and use alternate more devious workarounds.
It’s the nature of YIN/YANG ! You cannot control and hope to stop the ways people communicate.
Perhaps then it’s time to start working on ESP and mind control, if that program already isn’t in place secretly too.
