Tablets need more local data storage capabilities such as those available on laptops.

Data Transmissions either using wi-fi or cellular services still encounters bottlenecks and interference and suffer from multiple points of failure in services. This creates vulnerabilities in areas of mission critical applications that require connectivity without repeated time-outs.

Haven’t had the opportunity yet to field test tablets. On the TO DO LIST.

Not exactly sure at this point on the ruggedness of tablets compared to those of laptops in terms of durability and reliability.

Battery power maybe another issue also. Time to death without power maybe short compared to laptops.
