If I were to venture and make posits on the past, I would dare say that the Roman Senate of times past was what finally did the Roman Empire in.
In fact maybe even the Greeks in some sort of similar fashion. Every great civilization has it’s checks and balances where we strive towards law and order and rights and freedoms. Equality brings on new cAhallenges at every turn.
That being said – compromises becomes committees of debate and philosophical principles based on moral/ethical approaches looking for fair solutions in difficult circumstances especially where exceptional circumstances rear their often ugly heads for better or worst.
When we have discussions and compromises, sometimes the cost is heavy handed and leans in favour of the few who know how to manipulate events, circumstances through timing based on time tested hidden networks of cloth and daggers.
We should NOT be surprised at the way the Canadian Senate or any other for that matter conducts business.
However more critical thinking with QUESTIONS that demands action around ANSWERS without fail keeps THE TAO OF EVERYTHING in check. The QUESTIONS are alwasy infinite and without end. That’s the nature of the Dance of all biological LIFE and NRGY.
The QUESTIONS take on the form of HEAT & PRESSURE !
They are aptly called SOCIAL CONTRACTS ! Because they depend on TIME AS THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLECTUAL MINDSET FACTOR ! We limit all of our collective experiences based on our mortality of approximately 100 years of LIFE and maybe 50 useful working ones.
Hence INTEREST RATES 🙂
And we all pay dearly for that with our HEALTH + HEAT + PRESSURE = WEALTH !
Unfortunately SOCIAL ENGINEERING tinkers with this formula by looping the cycle so that you miss the mark and target. Taxes, fines, penalties, financial market meltdowns, interest tinkering, etc….
