Knocked me right out flat.

Once upon a time in another place and time, called 1480 Mayview Avenue in Ottawa, as I was ripping out all the GROW OP junk from the basement, a tenant who used to be a drug dealer in Barrie, Ontario(he admitted it, and I took him at his word that he wouldn’t be dealing out from his rented unit) had a friend of his there who smoked drugs. Crack I guess from my encounters on the streets with people doing the stuff.

It’s got that strong cigar smoke smell to it. Guess with the acid damage to my lungs, this is the next obvious choice.

WHY you ask – hey absolute total self control. No sex, no more music and no hanky panky out in public while going about the business of networking with people to start putting out that I’m once again available for work in all things Information Technology.

Finally had caught up with a VMWare brief presentation today at the Westin hotel in downtown Calgary and met a few people there.

Really I think I need an apology to the Westin although it’s more around my mental block with the name than their fault. Reminds me too much of Ottawa’s Westin Hotel. Not there’s anything wrong with it there. But all things Ottawa – yuk. And having been to the Delta here in Calgary a few weeks back for a weekend meeting with Raymond Aaron, I was impressed.

You know getting around Calgary is interesting to say the least. Really it’s almost a full time job position in itself with the street naming conventions.

Well some very nice gentlemen on the street we’re able to point the way to the Westin hotel although I mistakenly asked for the Delta. Found it no problem despite my almost total knock out with that acid stuff that did a number on me.
