Cost of caring: is compassion burnout hurting, even killing us?

Divide and conquer by both ends – Birth care (it’s better than before, but not overall during the later growth phase) and death and palliative care.
Truly younger generations don’t have what it takes compared to the baby boomer masses who have the constitutional wherewithal to drive a compassionate caregiver into the ground just as fast as they themselves.
Truly is ironic that those with compassion always seem to pay a high price.
What’s left is a struggling something middle class trying to stay ahead of the curve ball while planning for retirement to have compassionate retirement and care !
