A city’s grief: Casualties of the Great War
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecommunications_in_Canada
I asked a basic “how does” question on dialtone technology and how it worked at Nortel Networks back in 2000 and 2001, and no one in living memory present at work could answer this basic question.
Lo and behold, thank you very much the question was answer in a multiple page spread of the Ottawa Citizen shortly after being hired and trying to research the information at Nortel.
Ain’t the Universe wonderful when you ask and it provides. π
In this case, I was connecting the dots and following up on trying to learn the history of the Great North Western Telegraph Company of Canada from a telegram sent to announce the death of Private William James Garrow back in June 1916.
