Like veterans of war, present and past, Police Officers face the same PTSD issues. Time to face reality and start dealing with these issues instead of sweeping them under the rug.
Get moving on providing help to officers reaching and needing help before tragedies become more and more frequent as officers face moral/ethical issues are ever greater speeds in the blink of an eye. They are the frontlines and last line of law & order.
Pressures are immense and they need personal resources other than just training around social issues and weapons training.
At the very least, it’ll help to officers on dealing with moral/ethical behaviors and avoid Shakespearean tragedies that affects us all in placing our complete trust in them. Without confidence in the people who maintain law & order, society faces a complete breakdown in all areas, just not on the streets.
