Bronson typifies the many streets of the City of Ottawa as a “Death Trap” and sentence to hell for motorists.
I could name many, such as Fisher Avenue, former Richmond Road in Bells Corners to Wellington Street, Montreal Road, yadda yadda yadda…. you name it, Ottawa’s got it. Poor infrastructure planning as far as roads go.
Bronson is one of the few vital NORTH-SOUTH arterial roads that serves Ottawa especially to the Ottawa Airport. I’m horrified that the typical visitor to Ottawa first impression is a subpar road that ends ignominiously at the bottom of a hill to Albert Street/Queen Street. The road should be totally redesigned and widened. This is the most logical scenario, however failing acceptable agreements with property owners, then new NORTH SOUTH roads into downtown should be opened up. Case in point – Conroy Rd extension to MacDonald Cartier Bridge. Speaking of which – what the hell is taking so long coming up with another inter provincial bridge. Who’s in charge and asleep at the switch???? Seems almost like the Concordia ship wreck. More4 lives will perish in the meantime. Ooops !!!
