Thanks for keeping an eye or 2 when out & about – a thing or 2 on the side

Just enjoy the extra peace of mind, especially civilized behaviour out in public places. I realize that sometimes even with the best laid out plans, things can go south real quick. So I enjoyed King’s Head pub last night. Felt like crowd was generally okay on my first take, although crowd is mature, experienced and been around the block a few times if not more, my take on it was that from a man’s perspective, they’re players and there’s availability. Women are also there hoping to hook up, but haven’t had the chance to partake in social conversation just yet. Yep I’m out to get laid for sure, but I don’t want it to feel like exploitation and taking advantage of someone just to get my rocks off. I’m not looking for a meat market that’s for sure. It’ll need to be a natural outcome of something that feels right and consensual. In any case showing up in a restaurant, bar or dancing venue using public transit without wheels with the added boot to not having a place to bring someone home isn’t exactly my cup of tea or rather coffee. So with that said, just getting a feel for the social establishments here in Calgary while I’m putting the data of all the little bits & pieces filed away in my subconscious to let it rumage and put together all the elements. It’s absolutely great having an internal servant doing all the work at putting the pieces of the puzzle together without any effort at all and reaping all the benefits from it. Yikes – sounds like friends with benefits thing. There’s also from my own personal spiritual and religious belief of doing no harm. So, for sure finding someone to have fun with is no walk in the park thing since it involves having that person jump on my band/chuck wagon and having it impacting their own lives. I equate it on the same level as the corruption of minors and taking away innocence without consent. I know complicated stuff. It all boils down to mutual consent by Conscious Choice and Awareness. Anyone know anyone who’s fully present and wants to go for a great ride please send me an email.

On another topic altogether – well I thought last night I’ve be smarter about leaving the bar early so I wouldn’t be in the same situation as last weekend when I went to visit Cowboys Nightclub at the Cowboys Casino. I left early last weekend about 1:20am Sunday morning to go catch the C-Train back to the Rundle station. Hmmm, got to the City Hall station at about 1:40am to find out that it was closed down and no C-Train. Hmmm, okay call Associated taxi a million times and lines all busy. Wave one down, but none in sight. Okay, walk back to Cowboys Casion to take one from there, last count there were about 4 – 5 taxis waiting outside the Casino. None there when I got back. Tried calling Associated again with same luck. Shoot – wave one down, but everyone on the street is in same boat. Arriving taxis were being disputed by whomever got first to fight off the others. Finally decided to walk away to a further spot of oncoming taxis headed to the Casino to wave one down. Finally got Mayfair driver to get me home. Wow, just as much fun trying to get a taxi in Calgary as trying to find someone to get laid. Yikes – that’ll be about $25 for the ride. Okay wonder if it’ll cost that much for the other type of fun when I get there – okay I’ll let you know the exact cost, especially as compared to Ottawa. Count on it!
Now for this weekend’s adventure going out. From King’s Head Pub near Heritage C-Train station I walked and got on board headed downtown. Okay, everything’s cool – got plenty of time right – it’s only 12:30am. Smart thinking. Head downtown Calgary, switch C-Trains headed to McKnight, take the shuttle bus around maintenance work between Bell Max/Barlow station to Marlborough station and hop back on C-Train to Rundle.

NOPE that didn’t quite work out as planned. Some idiot planner thinks that doing maintenance and leaving people stranded at Marlborough station after getting them from downtown around the maintenance is quite okay. Everything shuts down at 1:40am – hasta la vista you are on your own and walk from there. Isn’t bureaucracy and the Ph. D’s getting them great. Doesn’t take into account the human factor of smart thinking. So, thank God it was hot outside and I didn’t have to think I’ve be smart trying to call a taxi company who would probably not have shown up anytime soon even if they had answered the phone. Besides it wasn’t all that far to walk, still not close by any standard. Another thank God is that I can take advantage of doing NRGY exercises. Yep, every walking step outside has been to that effect – health benefits aside, I’ve been doing some spectacular internal NRGY excerises all the time. Private stuff – sorry, no discussion on the subject to make sure I get no outside interference. Let’s just say, that I love Calgary’s energy and leave it at that. It’s also one of the reasons that I put more effort into myself for guaranteed results as opposed to putting wasted efforts into external social relationships. Conservation of NRGY and buildup and storage. Isn’t walking fun when you can take the opportunity to have practical results aside from the physical exercise. Body/Mind/Spirit in practice and making work for you…. πŸ™‚

Now can someone please fix this business of having maintenance work done on C-Train lines and making sure that people get home safely. In this case, just don’t drop off people without making sure that there’s C-Trains available to get them to the end of the C-Train line in whichever direction/line is under work. Common sense is so easy, yet almost impossible to do in practice.

Finally, here in Calgary as in all other major cities Ottawa especially. Make sure that if public transit is available until the close of bar hours. Then taxis can take over. The smart people will take the public transit system by leaving earlier from the bars. Those too drunk or troublemakers can take the taxis. Just beef up security for the taxi drivers – yes easy to do. Just do it! Time for change. And no, don’t give me the it’ll add to the costs biz B.S. Adding intelligence doesn’t cost more, it costs less overall when you look at the big picture. Start using brains instead of remaining in the annals of stupidity and being anal. Jeez, you almost got to think I’ve got the hang of backdoor thinking and the best route to get there !
