Not to be more of a pain in the ass than usual… how about an alternative to all things currently wrong with PIPELINES
In my opinion… for what it’s worth… Install a second outer pipeline surrounding the first primary oil pipelines to contain spills… cameras, sensors, alarms and containment tanks to minimize oil from reaching and impacting the environment. Who pays for it ??? The sucker’s who absolutely must have the pipelines…. AND If it impacts anyone by…

Biggest problem resides at both ends… Cold starts and Hot cool downs due to inefficient catalytic converters… I would consider installing another primary converter for just those functions with a valve bypass on ideal engine conditions.
