BIG HUGE MISTAKE….
Case in Point….
Tried to rent a room in a brand new multi story building in Sandy Hill part if downtown Ottawa a few years ago while looking for Ottawa University accommodations…
In fact 2 brand new multi story buildings… side by side
The one in question was owned managed by an older Chinese lady who greeted me and gave me the tour.
Walk around outside property alerted me to a familiar smell. Carpet laid out on the ground absolutely all covered in black mold. All around the building. In fact people were tracking it into the house and I’ll bet you the building is going to become a major sources of disease and illness FIR years to come without figuring out what the problem is.
What can I say…. PEOPLE ARE STUPID… thinking that putting down carpet instead of landscaping is going to save you money….
And to boot… I’ll bet that other new building right next to the black mold infestation is going to be collateral damage if it already isn’t….
BOTTOM LINE….
DENSIFICATION IS A NIGHTMARE WHEN LEFT IN STUPID PEOPLE’S HANDS….
SCREWED BY STUPIDITY
If that is NOT ENOUGH…. have I got another story about renting elsewhere… another day perhaps
MORAL OF THE STORY…
RENT OUTHOUSES… PROBABLY SAFER THAN DENSIFICATION GIVEN THE CLEANING AND UPKEEP SCHEDULES ON MAINTENANCE
AND EVERYONE WONDERS ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH…. DUH…. LIKE OMFG THE PROBLEM WAS SO OBVIOUS
