Biggest problem resides at both ends…
Cold starts and Hot cool downs due to inefficient catalytic converters…
I would consider installing another primary converter for just those functions with a valve bypass on ideal engine conditions.
Small combustion engines pollute outright from start to finish.
Time to consider other options. Many dirty little engines becomes on big problem on its own.
