Federal program for science and tech internships costly to run: report
Whether it’s public or private, educational institutions, employment insurance, social assistance and retraining programs should ALL have co-ops and internships programs available.
They become part and parcel of the learning curve model tools in guiding people in the right directions.
Once a decision has been reached, then apprenticeships, journeymany leading up to Masters programs become the delivery vehicles into various fields. Not any different than B.A., Masters, etc….
Call it getting your feet wet programs with the Dance of Life & NRGY trial and error hands on experience.
Everyone knows for sure if there is a good match after doing some type of evaluation/probationary periods.
Undecided can go back into further studies to clue into their ‘WHY’ AM I HERE and WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT what if Life scenarios.
Make the financial numbers work. If cost is the issue, then I believe the optics is around just looking at the small details and the larger picture of down the road tunnel syndrome has one eye looking in another completely different direction. In other words, you can’t make out what the hell is coming down the tracks – either a Mack truck or Train Wreck.
