Calgary council leaves Inglewood’s Hose and Hound pub in limbo

While I don’t have particular details on this situation and the ‘WHY’ of the circumstances surrounding the hesitation on the part of Calgary to have offered first right of refusal, I willing to go on the record to say that this is the right thing to do.
If there is a successful business out there, paying taxes and giving flavor to it’s local community then by all means it should have the opportunity to continue doing so and the City should be on board encouraging it.
If there’s a business case to be made in this situation is that it’s in Inglewood and on what I would consider Main Street Canada.
Ask yourselves this question – do you want Walmart and Target setting up shop in a decades time razing down buildings???
If the City has a compelling case and information as to ‘WHY NOT’ sell to this owner, then transparency is called for. State the case or sell direct to owner and collect $200 going around the Monopoly Board for doing the right thing !…
Oops maybe it’s more now adjusted for inflation.
