Same old same old…. never ends does it. Spinning same wheels getting nowhere it seems.

Current problem with virtualization sprawl is the Dragon is getting the upper hand and will end up being a beast of burden. Hardware sprawl ain’t the answer, neither is parts, pieces and fancy do-dads with the newer term Everthing ‘CLOUD’.

The intermediate answer is to do to virtualization what MP3 did to music. Find an efficient way to not only virtualize but also make use of better compression techniques to get the BEST JUICE for the buck.

Yep like in the old days of timesharing and timeslicing, the technique has been reborn under all things NET called cloud redundancy and risk management.

While good, I find that the biggest problem is that there are WAY too many points of failure from local device to the cloud. Data on the way to points X, Y, Z end up failing on the first bad domino along the way.

The infrastructure has to be more generally virtualized than it is to accomplish better transmission success of doing what it is intended to do. As it stands now with bandwidth choking by ISPs and Telecommunications providers it ain’t working out and I’m not impressed the little while I’ve been trying it out.

Bandwidth management is the worst offender in my personal opinion right now. Until someone speaks up and does something about it, the cloud and all things virtual Dragons and hardware Dogs will suffer.

In the meantime, use the it’s not working great model as a downtime opportunity to play catch up and ramp up better MP3 MP4 techniques to sprawl everything and killing everything thin by burning out the PR spin on it’s great ROI.

As an admin and techie, I don’t want to spend my Dance of Life & NRGY managing something down the road that’s going to cost me dearly.

I’ve got bigger fish to fry and this ain’t one of them.

BTW – EVERYONE STILL HASN’T CAUGHT ON WITH 3D TELECOMUNICATIONS TECHNIQUES YET – HAVE THEY – SO MUCH MORE NRGY EFFICIENT. THINK 3 DIMENSIONALLY AND WATCH YOUR ROCKETS TAKE OFF LIKE NEVER BEFORE. As it stands, telecommunications is still in the dark ages.
