Drug overdose deaths in U.S. climb for 11th straight year
…””But at some point, people using these drugs are going to become more aware of the dangers,” he said.”…
I don’t know the numbers but it would be interesting to see how many survived the onslaught of overdoses during the ’60’s from Heroin, LSD and other psychedelics. One thing’s for sure, if you carefully visually diagnosis all those POP Stars from that era that managed to survive and are still around, they’ll be the first hand accounts of how hard it must have been to get off that stuff.
Now to the present day and era – we have young kids getting addicted to DESIGNER drugs intentionally created to keep them hooked.
And if bullying didn’t take so long to address and start getting the message across that we had to do something about it, then how long and how many deaths before we realize that this is going to be a continuing problem for a much longer while.
The biggest problem is the shape shifting nature of designer drugs. One day this type, the next some new one with a different learning curve and high.
This is here to stay, no ifs ands or buts. Better figure out some other way than just crossing your fingers and hoping !
