Final arguments made before jury deliberates in coach’s sexual assault trial
What strikes me as odd is this – what would the discussion look like if the coach had been male and the victim male.
In my humble opinion, greater weight of innocence is given and afforded to women in these types of situations then men who go down these paths.
I’m not passing judgement on the event. I’m passing it on what is our criteria for determining why men are found more guilty on these types of behaviors then women.
Wrong is wrong when you are setting up a vulnerable person when you are in a position of authority. Maybe the price to pay isn’t straight forward if a mistake was committed, yet sexual orientation and preference on the part of this coach is a relevant question to ask and determine.
Female authoritative lead figures on infatuated young girls sounds almost like a male lesbian fantasy and acceptable to society. Whereas Gay Boy Scouts are not !
Those are the real questions in my opinion and where you can find intent with the facts !
