That’s the problem with Alberta that I’m hearing more and more. People working for others and getting screwed left right and center.

Apparently it seems to be the norm. Am I right or wrong – only having experienced it once being here a mere almost 9 months.

This time I took precautions just so as not to get screwed as in the classical example as my ex-wife and company.

Got a witness right from the get go – Victor and one right at the very last moment before I quit working for him – the landlords’s client’s tenant where the last furnace was installed on Oct 5, 2012 at 11:30pm after a 15 hour day at work with no food and breaks.

So what’s the smart thing to do ??? Well for starters if – Government of Alberta labor board. Collect my salary for the work performed. I never agreed nor signed any contract as a subcontract as he claims. I would have liked to similar to CMC stairs from Calgary, but didn’t.

So let’s see how Alberta labor board deals with this and upholding the laws on the books for employees. This will make great case study people. Follow this closely.

I’ve been prepared for this for such a long time, no one’s getting away with anything – landlord and otherwise. 🙂

BTW, gave landlord notice I want to move out – will be staying at the Drop In Center for the month of March doing my thing.

And I’m sticking around to make sure I get my money from Alberta Works for the month of February and my security deposit of $400 from the landlord no later than 10th of March or sooner.

I’ll take pictures of the room to make sure that everything’s okay. He didn’t want to change the cum soaked red carpet from the previous tenant who rented my room before I moved into my bedroom right from the get go, so that remains in that sad shape. As you might have guessed, I didn’t even attempt to clean it up. That’s entirely his problem.

All while working…. There’s only one way to learn the ropes and how to tie them well if in Cowboy country and that’s by doing it.
