I’ve been grappling with Bookmark issues now for the last 16 years.

Enough madness just like PASSWORD insanity.

Must be why so many people have susceptibility to mental illnesses.

The biggest problem is that BOOKMARKS are static and part of the old ‘BOOK’ guard mentality. On the NET they should act just like websites and be dynamic. They should become personal DATABASES tied into SEARCH ENGINE Intelligence.

Then there is better data mining between people and their likes dislikes. Just using cookies ain’t the way to go. And yes, you’ll have to put in the exception of privacy if people still want to do it the old fashion vanilla way. Hey, not all people are into kink – what can I say???

What you gain on one side of the formula you lose on the other side. But like all things magical, I’m sure we’ll come up with myriad other ways of pushing the envelope around defeating the forces that be. That in turn will spawn other new problems looking for solutions. Endless.

Once you TIE-IN dynamic bookmarks, I’ll give you the lowdown on making it more efficient. Right now the models sucks big time – huge investments in miling algorithms to the max and using sheer quantity of CPU + NETWORKS to get results.

Nope, that’s not the way. Call me avant guard, but that model has an expiry date. Google, Yahoo, Bing and all other search engines – your days are numbered if you remain on that track and mindset.
