Great idea ! Cadets get their feet wet with experience and it frees up regular members to put their efforts towards more important things.
Best of all the regular Police staff are more likely let’s hope to be less tired(a little bit more NRGY) and make more meaningful contributions by being more alert and clear headed when making critical decisions in the heat of the moment.
It’s definitely a win-win, for victims, officers, courts and all related inter-connected services. I’ll bet it has an impact in reducing taxpayer dollars at the end of the day. The bonus is that there is less potential to have the wrong person in jail.
