Plant-powered planes show promise

As long as Biofuels comes from waste garbage and is not explicitly grown for this purpose, I see no problems with it. I was amazed a week ago to find out that out of 4 billion tons of food grown annually on a global basis, we end up throwing out 2 billion tons or 50% of it.
There’s no reason to grown crops exclusively to use as Biofuels under these conditions of waste. Better Organic waste management is called for just as in recycling all other materials.
If you grow crops for use as alternatives to Fuel NRGY then you are exploiting natural resources of the land by exhausting it natural normal capacity of growing food without human intervention artifically. Additionally you are putting crops at risk by increasing pesticides, introducing GMO crops to manage food production, chemicals to abate diseases, and boosters to increase yields.
Last but not least, you displace normal crop cycles by reducing production of many types down to a few profitable ones. Hence shortages and price escalations to stratospheric levels. Eventually you’ll end up with social upheavals, the which and likes no one can remember in recent human history.
That’s a warning…. proceed with intelligence. FOOD IS THE HOTTEST BUTTON ON PLANET EARTH !!! Never mind money, guns and everything else. You ain’t seen nothing yet. Everyone’s prepared for the worst, cause they know it’s coming.
Good thing to learn about personal NRGY management, it takes the edge off food complacency and indifference. At the very least, call it a personal NRGY efficiency and risk management system. It should become your personal Gold Standard and everything flows from there.
And just to tickle you pink, why do you think scientists around the globe have stashed tons of grains in underground bunker vaults everywhere. Iceland or Greenland is the one I saw.
Here’s one – Svalbard Global Seed Vault
