Treasury: No, we won’t mint $1 trillion platinum coin to avoid debt ceiling
Good I’m glad we’re not going down that road. It only would have given permission to raise the debt ceiling up to the next level after dealing with minting trillion dollar platinum coin.
I’m curious – what do you think it would called the next level debt ceiling anyways ?
I mean if it was a possibility but dismissed, I think people are entitled to understand it’s name and the reality of that debt and it’s implications.
Right now, I’m having trouble dealing conceptually in my mind how this or the next few generations would have dealt with trillion dollar debts. How could it possibly be tackled down to everyday life of Americans and the world to eliminate it?
Work 100 hours a week for minimum wage and not be considered a slave? Is that what it would look like? Come on, help me out here.
