A Constitution is simply a consensus at one point in time. It is a FOCAL & STARTING point of divergent opinions, thoughts, reasons, emotions, intents for the purpose and the benefit of a collective whole.
It’s Spirit lives on through time and like it or not like, like Biologicial Life ungoes change and transformation through time. It is not immune and written in stone, but flows like water to adapt to it’s times. It’s Original Root Essence is what is important and the reason what was needed in the first place.
Look around you today – do people on personal levels come up with Constitutions just the heck of it. Even nations across the globe don’t even attempt the absurd on national levels. That such a strong, clear message by men of all racial origins in a time of strife where able to craft such a document under penalties of treason and death to uphold cherished values of the Dance of Life goes a long way to describe their internal MORAL/ETHICAL compasses.
They as the opposing side never wanted war and combat, but felt they had no choices left. In my opinion and it’s a strong one here – without these men’s wisdom the whole world would be at the mercy of tranny, oppression and death for the last few centuries. How many lives would that have cost – globally???
All other nations and their people have used an inspirational document, penned in IRON Ink to serve as their own goal posts.
I am convinced that if the Founding Fathers of America were to pen this document today, it would reflect today’s realities and be different. That they could not fanthom all the changes since 1776 does not mean that the document then is worthless or without merit. It served as the Baseline Reference then and now. The difference now is that we have electricity, cars, planes, internet, smartphones, satellites, many different types of weapons and yes even atomic ones. How would they change today’s Constitution – who knows, it’s a brave new world.
One that requires wisdom from the best of the best breds, coupled with MORAL/ETHICAL philosophical viewpoints and yes even religious beliefs. All of these components help to even out the highs and lows of human conduct. We cannot today fanthom Star Trek transporters. Yet if a Constitutional document is drafted now, how could you know about it’s implications of beaming humans and killing them by intent?
Constitutions have no choice but to evolve like all LIFE. And it’ll take regular periods to adjust them. That is what makes them powerful and important. They are Spirits through Time and have their own intents and purposes. No human being can stop that. The consequence is clear – total utter chaos from rigidity, documents who cannot and do not serve their Original Intents and Purposes end up killing us in the end.
Yep, in Canada our Constitution is young. However it already faces the same challenges and need for change. Nothing can stop that because of my presence.
Take all the time to think, however the time for change is upon us. Have the debate because one way or the other it’ll be settled.
