For what it’s worth – here’s my advice.
Whether you are Native, Immigrant from around the globe or made here in Canada, the bottom line is we’re all human. With that comes the painful lessons of making mistakes and then having to deal with them. Hopefully we have enough guidance from ancestors, spiritual leaders, family and the community at large to only make small mistakes and not have to make big ones or extremely painful ones where we have to deal with Karma down the road.
Until such time as we’re able to get out of the spin cycle and turn a new Leaf & Feather by having moral/ethical compasses and turning change into Spiraling events of better futures, the best we can do is work through the elements that makes us who we are.
I never thought much before about the wise adage – “The Truth will set you Free”. From my own perspective, now that I am fully Conscious & Aware, it one of the most powerful tool that I have ever encountered. People, institutions, organizations, governments and authorities once they understand that you are not playing games, once it gets through the muck and thick heads of reason, cold hearts of the business of being mean, they become powerless.
By doing the ‘RIGHT’ thing, regardless of the cost to you, your moral/ethical compass sees, hears and understands everything around you – past, now and in the future before it has happened. You cannot be tricked and fooled any longer, because you are now playing games. It’s the real deal.
So with that in mind – even if you have to admit failures(hey I’ve got tons of them) and mistakes(yep those too), you’re still here and now can understand to learn from them. Most of all, own them with pride because they are your spiritual guides from which you will never make the same mistakes twice unless you haven’t learned properly from it the first time. I am truly amazed after reviewing all of my Dance of Life second by second where I can remember all of the things leading up to what I have done. No easy task, as most of it is spiritual and in a context of Religious Beliefs.
But if you are going to get into a fight, whether by a Hunger Strike or some other means – make sure you have a unified message, a clear message and a consistent message. Mean business, not games. Do as you say, whatever the cost and that will prove that in Body/Mind/Spirit your Compass is clear and it has changed from repeating the past and changing it to a Wonderful Spiral of Infinite possibilities for the future.
The most powerful tool on hand is this – INCLUDE all DIFFERENCES
All of this is for yourselves to decide. No one else can make these personal decisions and follow through with them. You will have to walk the talk, Dance Life and let your Spirit Live NRGY. At the very least, should you not succeed completely, you will have setup the future by your present actions through Karma.
The Universe cannot be stopped, all we can do is be in harmony with it. Anything else spells our destruction. Follow your true Hearts and become True Free Spirits – by Conscious Choice. Buddha, Jesus and Mahatma Gandhi understood this very well. I’m willing to bet there are many other unsung heros throughout time who had the same message. And I’ll put my hands in the Fire by saying that there were just as many great Chiefs in the past that had the same spirit and passion about their people. Time to revive what they were all about.
The question is – are you willing to do what it takes to change things for the better ??? For me it’s simple – the answer is yes. NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS !
