One of the most difficult things to do in my personal and humble opinion no matter what position of power you hold is the wisdom to change the Destiny and Fate of an individual who has done wrong. Those in power are usually spread thin on many important issues. Commuting and issuing pardons like any other incoming processes in the form of opinions and reports only exacerbates it in a flawed way. Yes you can count on some very special people who have solid moral/ethical track records and performance. However no one had the privilege of being the fly on the wall from the get go on what transpired to initiate a punishable crime – rightly or wrongly. With so many of the details missing, one can only assume and make judgement calls based on the relative present.
No easy task making a Life & Death decision whether with a death penalty or long incarceration. Even worst when people are locked up for many years in intolerable conditions and they are truly innocent. There will always be flawed justice processes because we are not God – with all seeing eyes. Yet what we have is the ability to change things when the opportunity presents itself in a new light. The way to proceed is easy – honour the position of power with dignity, grace and with the true courage of being fair, just and humble. Every person that passes before a King, Queen, President and Prime Minister was once a small innocent child that through time and effort changed that person in numerous incalculable ways to produce what is in front on them. Whether they are guilty or not, that is where the wisdom of those in power must make the final judgement call. Yes Karma for both persons plays a role and it becomes self evident once the decision is made.
While a high office holds very special meaning, it too from time to time makes mistakes. It is the nature of being human and nothing can change that because it is a constant. However Conscious Choice allows us to turn things around 360 degrees if we spend and take just a little bit of time on the question in solitude once we have heard all available opinions – not just from the best, but of those who have been in the trenches, battle fields and ground level. With the right heart either Compassion is issued or Destiny/Fate sealed. However one’s own Destiny/Fate in the results also becomes entwined as a result. That is why is it always best not to judge for ye be judged by the same measures also. If you haven’t learned how to turn endless cycles of Karma into Spirals of the Dance of Life & NRGY then you become just as much a victim down the road as the helpless servant at your feet begging for mercy.
This is a Universal Concept in the application of True Justice – Lady Justice is not Blind and Stupid, she listens with her ears instead to hear and decipher the Real Truth. She has a cold heart, is dispassionate and calculating in her measures – JUST ICE and that she holds both a sword as an option to scales is truly representative of her powers. While she maybe just an Icon, Statue of a past god – the intent and purpose remains the same.
