Well I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard in such a long time. Makes my day.
You know, I’ve been having this dilemma that I’m willing to share. Looks like this.
Got no money, newsprint versions of NEWS costs are through the roof and now the all of a sudden clampdown on free access to online NEWS. Okay, I can buy into a nickel, dime here multiplied by number of online articles I wanna read. After all NEWS costs. But not willing to buy a whole monthly package or whatever. Let the news organization figure for themselves what they should charge and see if they price it right, they will come.
Anyways still no NEWS on Children’s Aid Society – so why should I buy into distorted versions of NEWS.
It’s like asking me to pay for BitTorrent software to download illegal software. Duh…… !
Now in the meantime – here’s my temporary solution. Read the Headline news and come up with my own fantasies of what the story is all about. Instead of reading someone’s words, my imagination station is much faster at coming up than say reading an article that takes time. Hey we all don’t have all day to sit around reading, like me.
So put up the Imagination station version on my Blog. Works wonders and then maybe, just maybe – I’ll have enough subscribers to start following the online NEWS organization pricing models. And I’m even willing to give a discount for loyal customers.
Sounds good to me. Of course this business of the net is gonna change a whole lot of other models, being creative instead of restrictive seems like good business sense.
