Here’s a thought, just a teeny weeny one. Let’s pretend that the City of Ottawa learnt from it’s first mistake of awarding LRT contracts out and then putting up the brakes and coming to a screeching halt. Tons of taxpayer’s money gone in a flash, but hell it only belongs to taxpayers.

So they learnt something…. think through contracts and what the hell…. if we cancel them it won’t cost us a cent – us as in meaning taxpayers this time. With everyone’s eyes glued on watching this second go round and seeing if it’ll go like a sidewinder, making 2 mistakes in a row would be hard to come up with excuses.

Okay, now let’s pretend a little harder…. wow what-if scenarios. Chop the Presto-card thing and let’s make it look like we’re in control and saving taxpayers tons of money. Hell, we’ll even start awarding contracts and then cancelling them so we can start the Big PR Marketing machine in the Pi Sky and look good doing government business.

At this rate, cars will be flying in the Sky before anything good gets done on time, on budget and works the way it’s suppose to in Ottawa.

I’ll always remember what my Italian grandmother use to tell me in Montreal as a kid when I would hurt myself, but in this case a boo-boo on a finger. I quote – “by the time your married you’ll have all but forgotten about it”. Hell she was right, except she didn’t warn me about Ottawa. Damn, too late.

Oh well, there’s December 21 to have another crack at it ! 🙂 Memories are made from elephants…..
