BBC online – Micropayments: Would you pay 20p to read an article?

Micropayments are the way. In conjunction with other types of mix & max payments for services.

Example – monthly payment fee for so many articles or what have you, with a combination of extra articles with micropayments.

MBA’s figure it out. Certainly with pre-payment types of models along the lines of pre-paid credit cards where one can load up an account or card or what have you makes sense.

The Apple model with iTunes makes sense and is the standard bearer. Work it out with Service providers, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, LG, Nokia, HTC, etc… and you get the drift for easy payments.

And in Britain there’s Tesco. Walmart globally and other types of easy models.

In the end, you’ll make your money and much easier than the newsprint version. Now you can sell the content globally instead of locally.

There’s tons of money out there, time to use your heads… Monthly subscription rates have to drop to smaller, easier more manageable levels. Gone are the days of monthly subscription rates based on the paper models. Too expensive, way too expensive and who has the time???

If one article is all I want, I don’t want to pay through the nose for the whole package.

Digital is going to require some investments no doubt. Eventually the news will be most in video formats and reading will diminish over time with less importance.

Find your place or risk becoming obsolete – yesterday’s news.
